Important: Without these permissions, the helpdesk agent will not be able to take over your screen. Once you have granted the permissions yourself, you can contact us to start the screen takeover.
Follow the steps below to grant the required Splashtop permissions on your Mac:
Click the “Mac” button to download Splashtop.
Open the download file “SplashtopSOS...”
Minimise all windows except Splashtop
Drag the Splashtop icon from the window onto the desktop
Open “System Preferences” via the dock
In the left-hand column, click on “Privacy & Security”
Open “Full Disk Access”
Drag the Splashtop icon from the desktop into this window
Enter your Mac password and confirm by clicking “Change Settings”
Click the left-facing arrow to return to the Privacy menu
Open “Screen and System Audio Recording”
Drag the Splashtop icon from the desktop into this window
In the pop-up window, select “Later”
Click the left-facing arrow again
Open “Accessibility”
Drag the Splashtop icon into this window again
Select “Later” again
Click on the Splashtop icon on the desktop to generate a code.
Important: Always generate the Splashtop code via the programme on your desktop.
