Written by Bart

Introduction

The EM-plugin (Encryption Module) is used in the context of Healthdata. It is a plugin of the Unified Messaging that will facilitate the communication of Healthdata inside your organisation to the Ehealth services (such as Ehealth Codage).

The plugin is a tool that encrypts/decrypts messages between UM and HD4DP/HD4RES.

A subscription fee is required in order to use this plugin. Please contact our sales if you like to get a quote.

Prerequisites

  • Unified Messaging installed

  • Ehealth-certificate uploaded via the Settings

Configuration

  • no extra configuration required in Unified Messaging.

  • for interaction with the hd4dp-server, communicatie these parameters to Healthdata-support:

  • IMPORTANT: as of 3 months before the expiracy of the Ehealth-certificate, you can renew it and update it in the Settings of Unified Messaging (see here).

If for some reason you decided to change the applicationId (NOT recommended), you need to adapt the hd4dp-config accordingly (cfr. supra)

Update

The EM-plugin is embedded in Unified Messaging. No seperate update is needed.

If you have UM version 7.x, you have the latest version of the EM-plugin.

Send-Receive

There are 2 flows available.

  1. Send: HD4DP/HD4RES will send a message to the EM-Plugin. The EM-Plugin will encrypt the message and will send it to the UM.

    1. HD4DP sends a message to the EM-plugin using a web service interface

    2. The EM-plugin encrypts the message.

    3. The EM-plugin sends the message via the UM over eHbox using a web service interface

  2. Receive: HD4DP/HD4RES will ask the EM-Plugin to receive available messages from UM. The EM-Plugin will receive the messages from UM and will filter out those that are alreadyreceived. The remaining messages will be decrypted and send to HD4DP/HD4RES.

    1. The UM receives a HD4DP message from WIV/ISP

    2. The EM-plugin detects UM contains a HD4DP message and decrypts it using the UM web service interface

    3. HD4DP downloads the decrypted message from the EM-plugin using the web service interface

    4. HD4DP changes the status of the message to 'INTEGRATED_BY_EMR' in case of succes. In case of failure it sets the status to 'FORWARD_TO_EMD_FAILED'.
